About us

Wisuvie SHG is a nonprofit, community based organization that was founded in 1999 by women who had watched their friends and relatives succumb to HIV/AIDS related illnesses and deaths.

Our group comprises 44 members deeply committed to philanthropy. Wisuvie SHG is run and managed by a group of volunteers with diverse backgrounds. Its mission is to mitigate the socio-economic impact of HIV/AIDS.

Wisuvie SHG was registered in 2002 under Kenya’s Ministry of Home Affairs, Heritage and Sports Department of Social Services. It is governed by an executive committee elected by members.
